The Adichunchanagiri Institute of Medical Science, in collaboration with Apollo BGS Mysore, organized an organ donation awareness program. The event saw the active participation of Ms. Shobha, a transplant coordinator from Jeevasarthakathe/SOTTO Karnataka. Dr. Ramakrishna M N, a Consultant Intensivist at Apollo BGS Hospital Mysore, delivered a comprehensive talk on the critical care aspects of organ donation. Dr. Yashvanth Kumar V, a Consultant Hepato Biliary & Liver Transplant Surgeon, enlightened the audience about the concept of "Recycle Yourself" and the importance of organ donation. Ms. Sudha, an Assistant Manager of Dialysis at Apollo BGS Hospital Mysore, shared her valuable insights into the rules and regulations governing cadaver donations. The event witnessed an impressive turnout, with over 100 medical students actively participating in the program.

The Indian Red Cross Society organized an organ donation awareness program for the students of Yenepoya Ayurvedic College at the RAPCC hall in Wenlock Hospital. Ms. Padma, a transplant coordinator from Jeevasarthakathe/SOTTO Karnataka Mangalore zone, provided valuable information about the role of Jeevasarthakathe in organ donation. Ms. Laveena also shared detailed insights into the process of organ donation. The program received enthusiastic participation from 20 students, some of whom pledged to become organ donors.

Alvas College in Moodbidri organized an Organ Donation Awareness program for BBA students at Alvas Kuvempu Hall. Lal Goel, Chairman of the Organ Donation Foundation India, highlighted the importance of organ donation. Ms. Padma, a transplant coordinator from Jeevasarthakathe/SOTTO Karnataka Mangalore zone, shared information on organ donation and the pledging system. Dr. Kurian, the college's Principal, encouraged students to pledge for organ donation and shared his own donor card. Over 200 students and staff members participated, with many pledging for organ donation.

NRC Hospital District Hospital Dharwad organized an organ donation awareness program exclusively for nursing students. Mr. Manoj Nayak, a Jeevasarthakathe Transplant Coordinator from the Hubbali zone, delivered a session on organ donation, providing valuable information, and distributed IEC materials to the attendees. The program saw the attendance of 15 individuals keen to learn about organ donation and its significance.

Ms. Padma and Ms. Laveena, transplant coordinators from Jeevasarthakathe/SOTTO Karnataka Mangalore zone, shared valuable information about organ donation and the pledging system. The event witnessed the participation of 15 students, some of whom pledged to become organ donors.

The Wenlock District Hospital's Brain Death Declaration Committee meeting was convened by the District Medical Officer. The meeting focused on counseling families of brain death declared cases for organ donation, understanding legal formalities, and procedures to declare brain death. Ms. Padma and Ms. Laveena, transplant coordinators from Jeevasarthakathe/SOTTO Karnataka Mangalore Zone, shared their experiences in the organ donation process. The committee agreed to consider eligible brain death cases in the future with the consent of the families.

Apollo BGS Hospital Mysore, in collaboration with Jeevasarthakathe/SOTTO Karnataka, organized an organ donation program at MIMS Mandya. Ms. Lijamol Joseph, the chief transplant coordinator, was invited as guest speaker. Topics covered included management principles of acute liver failure, organ retrieval and liver transplant, critical care aspects of organ donor management, and the principles and protocols of organ donation in Karnataka.

An organ donation awareness program took place in the waiting area of the ICU and OT at District Hospital Dharwad. Mr. Manoj Nayak, a transplant coordinator from Jeevasarthakathe/SOTTO Karnataka in the Hubbali zone, engaged in discussions about organ donation and distributed informative IEC materials. The program received attendance from 20 individuals eager to learn about organ donation and its significance.

An organ donation awareness program was held for newly appointed Community Health Officers at Wenlock Hospital. Ms. Padma presented on the Need and Importance of Organ Donation and the concept of brain death. Ms. Laveena Gladys D'souza presented on Jeevasarthakathe and the importance of pledging for organ donation. Nearly 30 newly appointed community health officers participated in this program.

In collaboration with Jeevasarthakathe/SOTTO Karnataka, the Brahmana Mahasabha organized an organ and blood donation camp at Gayathri Bhavan in Bangalore. Ms. Chandrakala, a transplant coordinator, actively participated. Dr. Kirankumar M, Joint Director of Medical and Member Secretary of Jeevasarthakathe/SOTTO Karnataka, was invited as the chief guest and shared knowledge on organ donation. The program witnessed attendance from 25 members, with 6 individuals pledging to donate their organs.

Ms. Padma, the transplant coordinator, delivered valuable information on organ donation, the pledging system, and the donation process. The program saw the active participation of 25 students, with several making pledges for organ donation.

Das Events Mangalore organized a special SPL league singing competition at Town Hall Mangalore. Alongside the competition, an organ donation pledging camp was set up. Ms. Padma, the transplant coordinator, provided vital information on organ donation and the online pledging system. Singers, judges, and several VIPs gathered to highlight the significance of organ donation, sharing the touching story of Dr. Punith Rajkumar's eye donation. Over 200 singers participated, with 35 making pledges for organ donation.

Two days workshop was arranged by GICS (Global Intensive Care Symposium) at Aster CMI Hospital on Organ Donation & Transplantation Workshop, all JSK coordinators from all four zones along with the other registered hospital coordinators have attended the advanced training program. Around 63 participants who completed the training were awarded completion certificates.

Two Days Organ Retrieval Workshop was held at M S Ramaiah Advanced Learning Centre, conducted annually in partnership with Oxford University Teaching Hospitals, to train surgeons in skills for safe organ recovery from deceased donors. The Workshop was inaugurated by Health Commissioner Mr. Randeep. Ms. Lijamol Joseph, the Chief Coordinator Jeevasarthakathe, participated and shared knowledge on the "Process Flow for Organ Retrieval in Karnataka" with participants.

CME program was organized at HIMS Hassan by the Department of Anaesthesiology, Department of General Surgery & Department of General Medicine in association with SOTTO Karnataka Jeevasarthakathe on Brain Stem Death Declaration & Organ Retrieval for ICU, Transplant & Coordinators. Coordinators were trained on identification, maintenance & certification for brain stem death declaration. Mr. Choodesh & Mr. Naushad Pasha shared their knowledge. About 200 members participated.

One Day workshop organized for coordinators by Manipal Group Hospital in association with Jeevasarthakathe/SOTTO Karnataka, on Brain stem Death Declaration & Organ Donation. Medical and Paramedical Staff were trained on identifying and declaring Brain Death and grief counseling. Mr. Randeep, Health Commissioner, inaugurated the workshop. Dr. Kiran Kumar, Joint Director, presided. About 130 members participated.

CME program on Brain Death Declaration & Organ Donation was conducted for ICU Doctors, Transplant teams & hospital Coordinators. Dr. ChinnaDurai spoke about the identification and maintenance of Potential Donors in ICUs. Chief Coordinator Ms. Lijamol Joseph spoke about Jeevasarthakathe/SOTTO. More than 50 members participated.
